Terms of service
What you get, and what we ask of you.
Effective 22 August 2026
VibeCity turns a real product URL into a station on a live transit map. You pay once to open one; anyone can ride to one for free. These terms cover both sides of that. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
1. Who we are
VibeCity is an independent product operated by its sole proprietor. You can reach a real person at support@vibecity.fun. Using the site means you accept these terms; if you do not, please do not open a station.
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. If you are opening a station on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
2. What you are buying
One payment buys one station at one founding stop on the network. Concretely, that is:
- A numbered stop on the public map, held for your product and not resold while it stands.
- A station sign built from your product name, URL, tagline and logo, plus a public page at
/r/your-product. - A permanent link out to your product, and a public count of the rides it receives.
It is not advertising, not a backlink service, and not a guarantee of traffic, ranking, signups or attention. What the network gives you is a position and a presence. What you do with it is yours.
3. Price
The network opens with 50 founding stops on a published price ladder: $5 during the opening window, then $5, then $29 for the final stops. The price shown in the drawer at the moment you continue to payment is the price you pay, in US dollars, and it is set by our server rather than by your browser.
The founding ladder only ever goes up. We will not sell the same founding stop at a lower rung than one you already paid, and we will not retroactively discount a stop you bought. Later steps of the ladder cost more; that is the whole mechanic and it is disclosed before you pay. We may offer promotional pricing on new products or experiences that are separate from the founding stops.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Any taxes Stripe collects are taxes — they buy no additional standing on the network.
4. How long your stop lasts
Your stop is permanent for as long as VibeCity operates. There is no rent, no renewal, no subscription and no expiry date. We will not take your stop away to sell it to someone else, and we do not sell rank — money buys the size and position of your station, real rides buy its attention.
Being honest about “permanent”: this is a small independent product, not an institution. If VibeCity ever has to shut down, we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email to the address on your order, keep the site readable during that period, and let you keep your station’s sign as an image. We cannot promise the network outlives us, only that you will not find out by discovering a dead link.
Circumstances outside our control. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including outages at our infrastructure providers, payment processors, or hosting services.
5. Your content and your product
By opening a station you confirm that:
- You own or are authorised to represent the product at the URL you submit.
- The name, tagline, logo and destination do not infringe anyone’s trademark, copyright or other rights.
- The destination is not malware, phishing, a scam, sexually explicit material, hateful or harassing content, or anything unlawful where we or our providers operate.
- The destination is the product you described. Cloaking, bait-and-switch redirects, or quietly repointing a station at unrelated content breaches these terms.
You keep all rights in your content. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the map, on your station page, in share cards, and in screenshots or posts promoting the network — for as long as your station is published.
You agree to hold us harmless from any claim arising from content you submit or the product you link to. If a third party brings a claim against us because of your listing, you will cooperate with us to resolve it and cover our reasonable costs.
6. When we can hide or remove a station
We can hide a station that breaches section 5, that is the subject of a credible legal complaint, or that is the subject of an open payment dispute. Where the problem is fixable we will email you first and give you a reasonable chance to fix it; where it is malware, phishing or plainly illegal, we will hide it immediately and then tell you.
Hiding is reversible and does not release your stop. Only a refund revokes a station and returns the stop to the pool — see the refund policy. We do not delete payment records for moderation.
You can unpublish and republish your own station at any time from /manage. Unpublishing hides it without affecting your ownership or your payment.
7. Rides, counts and the numbers on the page
A ride is an anonymous endorsement recorded when a visitor chooses “Ride it” at a station, or alights there from a train. We count the first ride from a given visitor per station per UTC day; later attempts that day do not increase the number. Visiting the product is a separate action and does not create a ride. This is lightweight abuse resistance, not proof of unique humans, and we describe it that way everywhere it appears.
Every public number on the network is backed by a real record. We do not simulate activity, pad counts, or invent stations. In exchange, please do not inflate your own ride count through automation, paid clicks or coordinated scripts. We may discount rides we believe to be artificial, and repeat manipulation is grounds for removal under section 6.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the network running but we do not promise uptime, and we may change how it looks and behaves. If we make a change that materially reduces what you already paid for — meaningfully shrinking your station, moving your stop, or removing your outbound link — we will tell you before it happens.
9. Liability
The network is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, or loss of data arising from your use of it. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you have paid us.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects what you bought, we will email the address on your order before it takes effect. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, and its courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local law.
