Refund policy
Fourteen days, no questions, no forms.
Effective 22 August 2026
If you open a station and it is not what you wanted, email us within 14 days and we will refund you in full. You do not have to explain why, and there is nothing to fill in.
How to ask. Email support@vibecity.fun from the address you used at checkout, and say which station. That is the whole process. We aim to reply promptly and to issue the refund as soon as reasonably practicable after confirming the request.
What happens to an original purchase
A refund undoes the purchase, so it also undoes what the purchase bought. When we refund you:
- Your station is removed from the map and its page stops resolving.
- Your founding stop returns to the pool and can be claimed by someone else.
- Your order record is marked refunded and kept — we do not delete payment history.
This is worth understanding before you ask: if you paid an early rung of the founding price ladder and later change your mind again, reopening costs whatever the ladder is at then, and your original stop may be gone. If you are unsure whether to keep it, email us and we will talk it through rather than refund you by reflex.
What happens to an expansion
An expansion is a separate order that increases an existing station’s build budget. Refunding that order removes only the expansion credit: the station, its original build budget and its founding stop remain yours. If later expansions depend on that credit, we will explain the resulting size before processing the refund.
After 14 days
The stop is permanent and the payment is a one-off, so there is no subscription to cancel and nothing that will charge you again. Outside the 14 days we do not offer refunds as a matter of course — but if something went genuinely wrong, email us. We would rather fix a real problem than defend a policy.
We will refund these at any time within 6 months of the charge, and will consider them beyond that:
- You were charged twice for the same station.
- You paid and no station was ever opened.
- We removed your station for a reason that turns out to be our mistake.
Partial refunds
We refund a whole order rather than part of one. For an original station order, that means the purchase and the stop are undone together. For a later expansion order, only the build credit bought by that order is removed.
If we refund you
We may refund and revoke a station ourselves if it breaches the terms of service — for example if the destination turns out to be malware or the product is not yours to list. Where we do that, you get your money back and the stop returns to the pool.
Chargebacks and disputes
Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. A dispute automatically hides your station while it is open, takes weeks to resolve, and costs us a fee even when we win — a refund request takes about a minute and reaches you faster.
While a dispute is open, your stop stays reserved rather than being resold. If the dispute is resolved in your favour the outcome is the same as a refund; if it is resolved in ours, your station is restored.
How the money comes back
Refunds go to the original payment method through Stripe. Stripe typically returns funds to a card within 5–10 business days; the exact timing is your bank’s, not ours. Any tax collected at checkout is refunded with it.
Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract for digital services within 14 days. Because your station opens immediately, you would ordinarily be asked to waive that right at checkout — we do not ask you to. The 14-day window above is given freely and is in addition to any other rights you have under your local law.
